DOES. NOT. WORK.
I voted for Obama, yet Gitmo is still Gitmopen. Why is that? Because the system is broken.
We’re still torturing, we’re still bombing other countries, we still have undemocratic and even dictatorial world leaders as allies, we still don’t have universal health care, we still poison ourselves with the average American diet, our children still suffer with the American public school system (not that private schooling is any better), and our economy is still failing for the vast majority of us.
Any one of these problems could have been fixed by Obama but *none* of them has. I’m done voting. Both parties are corrupt, petty and refuse to admit that the truly huge problems facing America even exist. I’m sick of this glib “sloganization” of American hope. I want to see real solutions proposed before I bother taking the time to take part a system so corrupt the Coca-Cola company has more control over the political process than We, the People. I refuse to be part of the problem and vote the lesser of two evils again.
For myriad reasons including those above, if I could, I would leave this country. I’d only come back if I saw *actual* change occurring.
